 Former Sergeant of Marines, Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran, wildland firefighter, and Missoula native, Jesse Roods directs outreach efforts and oversees logistics planning for each course.

OEF Army veteran, served in Iraq as a cavalry scout with 1/303rd Cavalry Squadron 81st BCT out of Washington State. Steve is currently a student at the University of Montana working towards a Masters’ in Social work in order to continue working to help veterans. Steve is also active with the Missoula veterans court mentoring program and current president of the University of Montana Student Veterans Association.

Anton Johnson, Board Member/Resource Liaison:
OEF Veteran, served in Afghanistan as a combat engineer with the 367th battalion out of Minnesota, currently a student at the University of Montana graduating this spring with a degree in Social work. XS4V roles include- Facilitating events, assists in grant writing, and provides resource information to members.

Rich Goldman, Safety Coordinator:
GWoT veteran Rich Goldman ensures safety measures are in place prior to each event. Rich served as an Airborne mechanic for the Army and has over ten years combined volunteer firefighter and basic emergency medical technician experience.

 

Frank Green, Treasurer and Secretary:
Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) veteran Frank Green brings the attention to detail he cultivated as an Explosive Ordinance Disposal technician and as a loan officer to ensuring Xsports4vets ambitions match our financial capabilities.

Occupational Therapist Janna Kuntz created Xsports4vets to honor her step-brother, an Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) veteran who lost the battle at home in 2007. Kuntz facilitates program development.

 

Jesse Scollin aka: River Raider, Co-Founder/Field Researcher:
OIF veteran, Doc, and skilled riverboarder Jesse Scollin selflessly shared his story to bring his form of river therapy to all combat veterans.Jesse explores the white water, the snow and the people to lead us to the ultimate ‘therapeutization’.
